Breaking Myths, Building Knowledge: HBCU PrEP Me Tour Kicks Off at NCCU
The HBCU PrEP Me Tour officially kicked off at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) — and what a powerful first stop it was!
We gathered with a small but mighty group of students for an intimate conversation on HIV prevention, sexual health, and empowerment. Together, we:
Engaged in an internal condom demonstration to break down stigma and promote practical knowledge;
Tackled common myths surrounding sexual health, HIV prevention, and PrEP, creating a safe and open space for honest dialogue;
Closed with interactive role-playing skits, helping students explore real-world scenarios and walk away with tangible strategies for safer practices.
While the group was intimate, the conversation was deeply impactful. Students shared candid reflections that left us with insightful takeaways and a renewed sense of purpose as we prepare for our next stop.
This is more than a tour — it’s about meeting students where they are, equipping them with knowledge, and fostering leadership within HBCU communities.
🚀 Next Stop: ATL! Stay tuned as we continue to bring honest conversations and practical tools to campuses across the country.
