Guest Lecturing at GWU: Centering Women, Aging, and Equity
Loved guest lecturing in my Spelman sister Dr. Maranda C. Ward, Ed.D., MPH’s class yesterday at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences!
💡We explored topics around women and aging, intersectionality, the social determinants of health, and health equity — areas that continue to shape how we think about care, access, and belonging.
I left deeply inspired by the thoughtful questions and energy of the next generation of changemakers. Their curiosity and commitment remind me why education and mentorship matter so much — because the future of public health depends on leaders who are both brilliant and compassionate.
Grateful to Dr. Ward for the invitation and for her continued commitment to shaping the next generation of public health leaders. 🩵
